Polarity Dance Film (Teaser)

Collaborating on this project with Natalie Marsh has been an absolute pleasure. She has been present and involved in the final decisions for this project. I can't even begin to say how amazing it is to have another human being---another pair of eyes---beside me giving notes on an edit. It has been so great working with her. Natalie has a vision, she knows what she wants, and she is one of the kindest human beings I know. Here is our dance film teaser.

Polarity Teaser from Rosa Lisbeth Navarrete on Vimeo.

Polarity is based on a dance concept by Natalie Marsh (nataliepmarsh.blogspot.com). Last week, she approached me with a desire to make Polarity into dance film. This experimental film uses contact improv on man made and natural sites. The project aims to show polarity in different forms. What does it mean to be inside or outside? Can gender differences be blurred together in between space? How do those themes interact with each other in a man made or natural setting?
